Fuerteventura ISA Speedsurfing Grand Prix 2005 Britt Dunkerbeck comes back From July 22nd to 30th the second stop of the ISA Speedsurfing Grand Prix 2005 will take place on Fuerteventura, Spain. The windsurfing regatta is one of the highlights of the ISA Speedsurfing Grand Prix, which is the worldwide series of speedsurfing events to win the Speed Windsurfing World Championship. The event is organised at Sotavento Beach, Fuerteventura, Spain by Rene Egli who is organizing windsurfing worldcups at this place for 19 years now. After the first event in the south of France in april this year, this is the next chance to score important points toward the world champion title. Additionally EUR 25.000,00 prize money are waiting for the competitors. In the womens fleet the current leader, Valerie Ghibaudo will face world record holder Karin Jaggi as well as Britt Dunkerbeck, who will compete again after years of absence. The elite of the speed sailors are expected to participate in the ISA Speedsurfing Grand Prix. They will be challenged by the Spain locals and enthusiastic amateurs from around the world who are looking forward to meet the pros and also have the chance to qualify in daily challenges for the professionals fleet. Among the pre registered competitors you can find big names as the fastest windsurfer on earth, Finian Maynard, Bjorn Dunkerbeck and Antoine Albeau, who is the overall leader after the first event.
